Inactive Company Sale
« on: July 17, 2010, 11:15:22 »
Over 150 companies, identified as being owned by inactive citizens, are now on sale and available via the Company Market. All companies are listed for their current networth, and many of the companies have considerable amounts of stock onboard ready for sale. Citizens interested in purchasing a new or additional company are encouraged to check the listed companies in their nation, as buying these companies will help your nations economy grow or recover. Moving forward, we will be regularly reviewing inactive companies and placing them for sale, to ensure citizens becoming inactive do not adversely impact the economies of their nations.

Any company owned by an inactive citizen is listed for sale.

If the companies are listed at net worth  (which includes the v$25 startup fee) then there's really no advantage to buying one of these over just starting a new company anyway. Can I suggest that these companies- or at least those which were grants- should be offered at a discount from full net worth?

it's great that the companies don't get inactive, but only 1 or 2 have resources ready to sell it makes no real difference buying or doing a new one.
vPortugal is a chaos, almost noone as PTE or vBux.
Those companies will stay on sale for ever unless their prices are lower....

+1

grant companies were cerated to be used...

grant companies unused must be reverted and put on sale... and the vBux (5 or 10 per cmpany) must be sent to gov tresury...

its a shame how some people took advantage to keep those companies unused.

CAN THE GRANT COMPANIES BE REVERTED?

I agree completely with Sagacitas. I mean, if they didn't pay for the startup it would be nice for us to not have to suffer for their inactivity.

I agree with lower prices but not for free. Where does the vbux go specifically?

a couple of questions here.
1. when is a citizen considered to be inactive? after  7 days of not logging in?
2. when the company is sold, who gets the money? "inactive" owner?

Grant companies have had the 25 VBX startup cost removed from their listing price.

All proceeds of these company sales goes to the inactive owner, ensuring that should they later become active again, they will not be disadvantaged by the company sale. Inactive citizens are those who haven't logged in for at least 2 weeks.

Sign... Answer?

Btw...i think this is not fair! Cause someone will log again after 2 months and he will have company cause of inactivity...like i did once i frizbee golf ...

Better that you just put raw of goods for sale from those companies :S

so now, everyione will try to get grant companies... become "inactive" and they will get 25 vBux or more for that...

i dont know, sound very bad for me.

If they got the grant company FOR FREE and they arent using the grant company something is wrong if you make them gain money.

in vCuba the active companies are mostly private ones... Joshua and I started companies with our own vBux... where the h*** are the cuban grants?

maybe one or two actives... but what about the rest? waiting to be monetized by this new system?

its not fair.

Yeah, grant companies were sold for (Networth minus 25VBX) so the inactive player only gets the VBX value of any product, raw material, or local currency owned by that company - not the 25 VBX startup fee.
