Upgrade Notes - August 23rd

New Features:

  • Added new raw materials: Spice, Cement, Saltpeter, Plastic, Chocolate, Silicon, Gold and Zinc.
  • Extended Book, Food, Beverage, Residence, Medicine, Vehicle, Armour and Ammo industries to Tier 3.
  • Added the Electronics industry. Electronics devices can be used once a day inside a house, for extra happiness. Electronics devices decay after 25 uses.
  • All weapons now require ammo of the same Tier to fire - eg, Pistols require T1 Ammo, Rifles require T3.

Updates:

  • After unpacking a house, a link is now provided direct to the adjustment page so citizens can set their house.
  • House has been moved from Daily Tasks to Other Activities in the menu.
  • Updated the UI, removing the background image and improving the theming of jQuery elements.
  • When working, the road bonus is now only given to those citizens who used a vehicle to work.
  • Raw Material Cotton has been replaced by Fibers.
  • Raw Material Coal has run out. Power companies have learned how to refine Oil to provide Power instead of Coal.
  • Paper production cost has been increased to 1.
  • Steel production cost has been decreased to 2.
  • Pizza production cost has been decreased to 2. Pizza now recovers 2 health, and no longer provides happiness.
  • Bread health gain has been decreased to 1.
  • Beer happiness gain has been decreased to 1, while intelligence loss has been increased to 0.25
  • Textbook production cost has been decreased to 2. Textbooks are now only usable for University studies.
  • Apartments now only require Cement, and their production cost has been increased to 80. Apartments maximum daily gain has been decreased to 1.
  • Houses will require Cement instead of Iron, and their production cost has been increased to 200. Houses maximum daily gain has been decreased to 2.
  • Painkillers now require Fibers and Saltpeter.
  • Motorcycles will now require only Iron, and their production cost has been increased to 15. Motorcycles now only consume 1 fuel when used to work.
  • Cars will now require Iron and Plastic, and their production cost has been decreased to 20.
  • Pistol production cost and damage has been increased to 15.
  • SMG production cost and damage has been increased to 20.
  • Rifle production cost has been increased to 25.
  • T1 Ammo will now only require Chemicals.
  • T1 Armour will now only require Fibers, and production cost has been increased to 10.
  • Vehicle production will now be affected by Strength
  • Fuel production will now be affected by Athletics
  • Iron will now require Manufacturing instead of Gathering.
  • Existing Paper stocks will be cut in half
  • Existing Steel stocks will be doubled
  • Existing Pizza stocks will be doubled
  • Existing Textbook stocks will be doubled
  • Existing Apartment stocks will be reduced by 66%
  • Existing House stocks will be reduced by 66%
  • Existing Painkiller stocks will be cut by 20%
  • Existing Motorcycle stocks will be incremented by 66%
  • Existing Car stocks will be incremented by 150%
  • Existing Pistol stocks will be cut by 66%
  • Existing SMG stocks will be cut by 40%
  • Existing T1 Armour stocks will be cut by 20%
  • Existing Coal inside power companies will be converted to oil (1:1)
  • Existing Iron inside residence companies will be converted into cement (2:1)
  • Existing Chemicals inside medicine companies will be converted into saltpeter (2:1)
  • Existing Steel inside vehicle companies will be converted into iron (1:2)
  • Existing Iron inside ammo companies will be converted into chemicals (1:1)
  • Existing Iron inside armour companies will be converted into fibers (1:1)
  • Food and drink no longer yield less benefit with each additional usage in a day.
  • Vehicles now lose integrity when being used to work, with motorcycles losing 2%, cars losing 1%.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug preventing forum re-syncing from working.
  • Fixed a few bugs affecting citizens who were congressman and cabinet members.
  • It is no longer possible to propose the same alliance twice at the same time.
  • Fixed a bug affecting $0 value purchase orders.

Important Notices:

  • Due to the scope of UI changes, we suggest all citizens clear their cache before attempting to login. We will be continuing to improve the UI in the coming weeks.
  • Managers of companies who's production goals have changed, should note their Average Production Cost may be inaccurate for up to 7 days.

Economic Module Transition Period
The following special updates remain in effect until September 10th, 2011:

  • Companies can now be moved internationally, providing they do not contain any currency from their current nation. For example, to move a company from Australia to USA, you would first need to withdraw any AUD in the company.
  • Companies can be moved without cost.
  • Companies can be deleted, recovering half their base networth. Base networth is the cost of opening the company, plus any tier upgrades.
  • Companies can change industry. Doing so will destroy all resources and stock the company possesses.
  • When upgrading tiers, a company can convert its existing stock into the new tier (adjusted for changes in productivity) at no extra cost.

Same as moving them locally, only now all the regions are listed

In new interface displaying characteristics such as health and wounds are very inconvenient. I must wait some time before will be able to see what I need. And at the end I will see necessary information only for second! Holy slowpoke, I can`t do it so fast!

so if you are located in the same region as the company you are working for (and thus you don't need to use a vehicle to work) - you don't get the bonus? what's the point? this renders the roads (pretty much) useless :-X

I cant move my company and there is no currency inside it ):

EDIT: In my weapon company "You cannot move a company internationally while holding BGN. Withdraw the currency from the company and try again" and there is no BGN there.
And in my steel company it shows no region.

I am 100% sure that I have 0.0000000 BGN in company. What can I do about this problem? This is my grain company and I want to move it from North Island (New Zealand original region) to Missouri vUSA (have grain).

Cannot convert companies to many resources: cement, spice etc.
